Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Siro is an Android application developed and maintained by an independent developer (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The app is available on Google Play under the package name com.mosh.siro. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@siro.app.

2. The Short Version

• Your network usage data never leaves your device unless you choose to back it up.
• We do not sell your data to anyone.
• We collect only the minimum crash and analytics data needed to keep Siro working well.
• You are in full control of your data at all times.

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Usage Data (stays on your device)

Siro reads network usage statistics from the Android NetworkStatsManager API. This includes:

• Total bytes sent and received per app
• Wi-Fi and cellular split per app
• Historical daily usage figures

This data is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party unless you enable Google Drive Backup (see §3.3).

3.2 Crash Reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

When Siro crashes or encounters an unhandled error, we collect:

• A stack trace indicating where in the code the error occurred
• Device model, Android OS version, and app version
• A randomly generated installation ID (not linked to any account or personal information)

This data is processed by Google Firebase Crashlytics under Google’s Privacy Policy. We use it solely to identify and fix bugs.

3.3 Cloud Backup (optional, Google Drive)

If you choose to enable Cloud Backup, Siro will:

• Sign you in with your Google Account via the standard Google Sign-In flow
• Store a single encrypted backup file (siro_backup.json) in your personal Google Drive App Data folder — a private, app-specific folder that no other app or user can access
• Automatically sync this file at the interval you configure

We never read, modify, or access any other files in your Google Drive. The backup file contains only the usage records and settings you created inside Siro. You can delete this file at any time from Google Drive settings > Manage Apps.

3.4 In-App Purchases (RevenueCat)

Siro Pro subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. Purchase status is verified via RevenueCat. RevenueCat may collect:

• Your Google Play purchase token
• Subscription status and entitlement information
• App version and platform metadata

RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, or payment details. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy for details.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Data may be shared only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Firebase (crash reporting) and RevenueCat (purchase verification), under their respective privacy policies.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users.

No other third parties receive your data.

6. Data Retention

• On-device usage data: Retained until you delete it in-app or uninstall Siro.
• Crash logs: Retained by Firebase for up to 90 days.
• Drive backup: Retained until you delete it from your Google Drive.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data Siro holds about you (your on-device usage records are always visible in the app).
• Delete your data at any time — see our Delete Data page.
• Delete your account (Google Sign-In session) — see our Delete Account page.
• Opt out of crash reporting by disabling Firebase analytics in your device’s app settings.

8. Children’s Privacy

Siro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will always be available at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
